Why We Work With Existing Garments

We work exclusively with vintage and pre-owned clothing and accessories, never newly manufactured garments. This decision is equal parts practical, aesthetic, and philosophical.

First and foremost, we simply love vintage clothing. Older garments often possess a quality, character, and durability that is increasingly difficult to find in contemporary manufacturing. Fabrics feel different. Construction feels different. Time has a way of revealing what was worth keeping.

Second, we believe repurposing is more interesting than newness.

By beginning with existing garments, every piece inherits its own history before a single stitch is added. The result is clothing that cannot be duplicated, restocked, or mass-produced. Once a piece is gone, it is gone forever.

Every garment is carefully sourced, inspected, laundered, and repaired when necessary before entering our collection. While we maintain rigorous standards for quality and wearability, some vintage pieces may retain subtle signs of age. We view these details not as flaws, but enhancements to the garment.

Because we work with existing garments, sizing varies from piece to piece. We list the original manufacturer size when available, but we encourage customers to focus on measurements, proportions, and fit rather than what's on the tag.

Our philosophy is: if a garment has already survived decades of wear, it's going to keep lasting.
